Best Practices

Optimized Business Branding

We recommend that you follow these practices in order to maximize the success of establishing a Optimized Business Branding and robust online presence. Please note that sites have different rules and that this is not intended to be a complete guide. Your Account Manager will work actively with you once your account is established.

  • 1. Consistency: Keeping your name, address and phone number consistent on all search platforms will improve visibility, decrease duplication and minimize consumer confusion. If you have existing social networks or business listings it is important to establish a consistent theme, logo and information across your Social Media Ecosystem.
  •
  • 2. Depth: Complete as much information as possible or relevant. More enhanced information means more ways your listing can be returned in search results. Often overlooked items that most search sites carry include hours of operation and payment methods – these are valued by publishers and consumers alike. Categories are required, but photos, videos and descriptions are highly regarded by search experts as important fields. Social-Hyper will manage and if necessary develop content about your Business, Products and Services. This content is distributed daily and frequently, according to your needs.
  •
  • 3. Name: Use the “doing-business-as” or “street” name as it would be found by visitors to your physical location. For corporate names use the Alternate Name field. Do NOT add keywords or locations into the business name. This is considered spam by many important sites and can lead to loss of ranking, deletion, duplication or general lack of prominence.
  •
  • 4. Alternate Name: This is for a corporate name or other name that might be found on common public records relating to the business, such as government filings and utility bills. This field will help connect the records to your business. See also Professional Group Listings for multiple professional and agent listings at a single location.
  •
  • 5. Primary Contact: You should designate a principal contact in your company at the specific location as this will increase the legitimacy of the profile and aid in verification. On some sites, this can be a requirement.
  •
  • 6. Email Address: This is valuable not just for customers to contact you, but also for verification purposes by significant search platforms. It adds to the credibility of the listing, even if it is a general email contact rather than an individual. A google email account is mandatory in order to set up your Google Places. Google Places activates your business on Google Maps and Mobile search results.
  •
  • 7. Social Media Registration: 300+ Many clients have Social Networks registered. Some networks are registered under different emails, names etc. Hyper-Gate employs a trusted and stable Social Media Management Platform with over 10,000 served to date. The exhaustive registration of Social Networks serves both branding across the social media ecosystem and establishes a staging ground for future popular sites and services.
